Cafepress thermos review and giveaway | Emily Reviews

Quite a while back I first introduced my readers to cafepress with their amazing selection of t shirts. I still have my cafe press t shirt and wear it regularly, it’s held up great and is so unique. I love cafepress for their unbelievably large selection of designs to choose from. Their
thermos selection is no less impressive! Go to cafepress’s thermos section and search ‘monster’ and you’ll get 2,400 results. WOW! Type in ‘Ryan’ and get 910. You get the idea. When cafepress emailed me to let me know they would like me to feature one of their thermoses on my blog through a review, I knew there was no way I WOULDN’T find a thermos we could use. However, if for some reason we didn’t find the perfect thermos, we could design our own personalized thermos at cafepress. I was given this opportunity real close to Christmas so I decided to make the thermos for Ryan and give it to him as somewhat of a gag gift. Ryan and I have a slightly odd sense of humor, and I always throw in a completely unexpected, random, weird gift. I suppose the best term for these gifts is a gag gift, but the humor comes more from the unexpected, randomness of the gift than it does the gift itself. When I searched for ‘rooster’ on cafepress’s thermoses, and was given 893 containers to pick from, I knew I’d find one to give to Ryan. I decided on one of the large thermos bottles that had a rooster on it. The large thermos bottles hold 34 ounces. The thermoses are the legitimate Thermos brand which of course is known for their superior bottles that keep drinks hot or cold for a long period of time. The large thermoses keep drinks hot or cold for up to 24 hours. Super impressive! When the lid is removed, you are then able to see the stopper. It looks similar to a cork, and twists in and out. The cork takes several twists to get it released, and at first I thought wow this will be a pain to fully untwist every time we want a drink. Then I noticed the stopper is a ‘twist and pour’ stopper. Meaning, you give the stopper a tiny twist which releases the stopper enough to expose the holes in the topper, and can then tip the thermos to pour the drink without fully removing the stopper. Extremely convenient. The container is unbreakable stainless steel. When Ryan opened the thermos he was happy at first, thinking the thermos was just plain. He sat it aside and grabbed a new present without realizing the chicken, so I made him stop and look again. He laughed and said “that’s so fantastic” so I think I did well, haha. There are only two slight disadvantages to the thermos, one being it’s only hand washable and the other being it’s not safe to use with carbonated beverages. Ryan and I are soda addicts so that was a bit of  drawback for us. We love everything else about the thermos! Cafepress also sells small thermoses that are 12 oz and thermos food jars as well.
