I’ll be honest. I get a bit annoyed when I watch a childrens’ television channel with kids, and have to listen to 8 ads during a 30 minute cartoon. My main issue with the ads is they make the toys out to be so much cooler/better than they really are, but the kids don’t realize that they are glammed up to seem so cool, so they want all the stuff anyway. However, I can say from experience that pillow pets aren’t one of those over-hyped toys. They really are a great toy for kids that are reasonably priced and will be loved by your kids for a long time. Sure, a lot of kids want them and there are commercials for them, but they really are a great product. My little sister has had her pillow pet since June and she still drags it everywhere with her. It’s still holding up great to all of the wear and tear, too! For several months, most of the girls I know have been interested in pillow pets and in the last few months I’ve noticed that they have gained popularity with boys too. Did you know pillow pets now has dinosaurs? Three of them! This time around I was sent a magical unicorn pillow pet for review. The pillow pet is a pretty lavender color with a baby pink belly, mane, tail and horn. The horn surprised me how well it stands up yet it’s REALLY soft so that if the pillow pet is being used as a pillow it wouldn’t bother your head at all. Pillow pets are super soft and easy to transport from place to place. One of my favorite features is a piece of fabric that covers the velcro when the pillow pet is in pillow form. This prevents the velcro from getting full of fuzzies while exposed. I’ve always hated how velcro shoes always end up with strings and fuzzies stuck inside them, so I think this is a basic yet great idea for products with velcro.
