Around here, the holiday gifts don’t stop at the human family members. Our furry friends get gifts too. If you have a kitty then I have a great gift idea for you. A cardboard cat house from one purrfect place. If your cat is like mine you are probably wondering if your cat would have any interest in a cardboard cat house…I know my cat has a mind of it’s own and I never really know if she will like the new toy I get her or not. However, she absolutely loves her cat house. I have noticed that my cat tends to dislike something if she is aware that I want her to like it. So when her one purrfect place house came I sat it up, put an old blanket in the bottom to make it seem inviting, and then left it there. For about a day she would go near it and peek her head inside and then walk away. However, over the next couple of days she slowly started going in there for short periods of time, and now that it’s been a couple of weeks, she spends long portions of the day inside of it. She even finds it to be her safe place now, as I’ve noticed that she goes into it if I scold her for clawing the edge of the couch, or when the dog across the hall escapes and comes running towards our apartment.  It was really amazing to me how she seemed to just know that it was for her. I get a lot of packages, and so I often have boxes sitting in a pile next to the trash can that are waiting to be carried out to the dumpster. I often have to get on her about clawing them to pieces, as she thinks they make great scratch posts. So I was concerned that she might scratch her one purrfect place to bits, but so far I haven’t caught her clawing it even one time. Overall both me and our kitty love the cat house.
